2020 Columbus Peregrine Falcon Update

I am very happy to report that Durand and her partner (30/Z) have returned to last years nest site at the corner of E. State Street and S. 4th Street.

As of yesterday the pair had 3 eggs. Yeah!!!

Triad Architects reached out to inform us that the birds had returned and were nesting.
They have gone to great lengths setting up a camera system that would allow them to share pictures  with ODNR Division of Wildlife so we can share with you what is happening on the ledge.

In this time of social distancing we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to view the happenings of the Columbus and Lima falcons.
In a day or so Durand should lay a fourth egg. Then incubation will begin.

In the 2019 nesting season, this same pair successfully fledged 4 chicks.
